Skin and Wound care is a critical aspect of health care. A family physician's workload on average consists of 30% skin and wound care. Sault College in partnership with WoundPedia has created a virtual reality scenario on the diabetic foot. Rationale for teaching about the diabetic foot is to train professionals on how to recognize and prevent diabetic foot conditions in order to prevent amputations.en_US
