Medication mathematics is an essential component of medication administration for healthcare professionals. We have designed and developed six modules in the Medication Mathematics Activities for Healthcare Professionals series to address the identified mathematics knowledge gap for learners entering post-secondary healthcare programs such as Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Registered Practical Nurse Diploma. With an introduction to each topic, through context, knowledge, and understanding, learners will have an opportunity for practical application and to expand their knowledge. The six modules are as follows: Fractions of Time, Conversions, Oral Medication, Parenteral Dosage, Body Weight Dosages, and IV Fluids. Each of these modules focuses on fundamental medication mathematics concepts and equations. Given that math is a vital skill within nursing, where mathematical errors could result in patient harm, learners participating in the Medical Mathematics modules will be following the concept of math mastery, where 100% must be obtained on each modular test to advance to the nexten_US
