Working with Clients and Partners A Course (v.1 - Winter 2024)

Abstract

“Working with Clients and Partners” is a 12-week course offered by the Mitch and Leslie Frazer Faculty of Education at Ontario Tech University. It was first offered and facilitated in January 2024. The course is structured for students to gain experience in real-world challenges in eLearning development and working with clients and other stakeholders. Using a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical application, students will be guided through project and client relationship management while working on a collaborative project.

Designed to be delivered online, the course adopts a Problem-Based Learning (PBL) approach integrating asynchronous and synchronous elements to foster learning flexibility. Every week, learners are presented with asynchronous activities such as analysis questions to help guide readings, after completing the readings, synthesis questions will follow along with interactive knowledge checks built with H5P. Doing the activities set the stage for active participation in synchronous virtual activities and discussions with their peers, reinforcing and using the skills and newly acquired knowledge.

Materials are available in a Word document and an exported Canvas file format, allowing versatile delivery options to cater to different teaching and learning preferences.
