| Abstract: | This resource introduces educators to the Globally Networked Learning approach, also known as Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL), as a strategy for internationalizing the curriculum and preparing students to succeed in increasingly interconnected academic, professional, and social contexts. It emphasizes collaborative knowledge-building, inclusive and culturally responsive pedagogy, and the purposeful use of open educational technologies in higher education. By integrating interactive learning activities, and globally connected classroom practices, the teaching resource supports educators in designing meaningful cross-cultural learning experiences. It also highlights how tools such as Pressbooks and open publishing platforms can foster collaboration, accessibility, and the co-creation of knowledge across institutions, disciplines, and borders when designing cross-cultura course plans. |
