Abstract: Through this micro-credential, learners will discover how to use direct digital market tools to engage and expand their customer base. Students will learn how to create successful email campaigns, tweak the content of their website to improve its ranking in searches (SEO - Search Engine Optimization) and place paid ads that will appear in searches related to their website (SEM – Search Engine Marketing). These techniques can give learners a sophisticated approach to reaching their target audience on social platforms, websites, and apps. Students will need to register for the Mimic Pro simulation.
The learning outcomes are 1. Compare and contrast different digital direct marketing tools, explore how they are used in advertising across social platforms, websites, and software applications--2. Identify the structure and process for developing email campaigns and practice creating one--3. Identify and define the foundations of Search Engine Optimization and Search Engine Marketing--4.Apply digital advertising techniques and technology to target audiences.
This micro-credential includes learning lessons, student activities, and assignments. The course can be downloaded into a learning management system such as Desire2Learn or Brightspace.
