Fundamentals of Creating an Ecommerce Site

Abstract

This course is for the student who wishes to create an ecommerce site but has no prior experience in doing so. Using Shopify’s ecommerce platform, students engage in a step-by-step simulation that will result in a “ready-to-go live” virtual storefront. Students will be able to operate their own ecommerce site whenever they are ready to launch it. The learning process will include reading contextual/theoretical background and engaging in self-scoring quizzes prior to spending most of the course time constructing then simulating and operation of a Shopify-based ecommerce website in achieving the course learning requirements.
