Preparing Health Professional Learners for Clinical Workplaces : A Digital, Interprofessional Course : Module 1 - Transition to Workplace Learning

Abstract

Module 1 is a self-directed interprofessional learning module on Transitioning to Workplace Learning, where learners will: 1. Recognize their role as professionals-in-training in the workplace--2. Describe in broad strokes the roles and role limitations of other professionals who contribute to an interprofessional healthcare team; including nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, physicians, and physician assistants--3. Develop an approach to resolving patient-care related conflict in the workplace between learners in two professions--4. Develop a framework for collaborative decision-making in the clinical workplace.
