dc.description.abstractThis interactive self-directed learning resource provides a hybrid learning strategy responding to an identified gap for students participating in experiential learning activities. It serves as a preparatory tool for students before encountering difficult real-life scenarios in their workplaces they may be unsure of how to navigate. This series is comprised of 7 modules: Module 1. Key Concepts in EDI--Module 2/ Anti Indigenous Racism--Module 3. Anti-Black Racism--Module 4. Ableism & Accessibility--Module 5. Gender Equity--Module 6. LBGTQ2SiA+ and Trans-gender Inclusion--Module 7. Understanding Harassment. Each module will introduce learners to EDI within the work context, their rights and responsibilities in the workplace as they envision being new professionals embarking on their post-graduate journeys. Learners are taken through a series of brief simulated experiences, interactive self-assessments and connected educational content related to issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion. This course contains H5P interactive activities testing their knowledge, opportunities for self-reflection and brief video segments of peers and various professionals sharing their perspectives and insights. Student will be provided with an introduction into Equity, Diversity and Inclusion in the workplace, they will explore key equity issues while gaining information that will assist them in responding to issues of discrimination and become active participants in integrating equity in the professional and personal lives.en_US
