As work-integrated learning becomes a key component of higher education in Ontario and with increased prevalence in university and college level learning, ensuring students are well-prepared in essential workplace skills to support successful integration into the workforce is essential. The Career and Workforce Readiness resource is an openly accessible, six module course that seeks to provide learners with the opportunity to practice, reflect, and develop the strategies they'll need to get started, refine their process, or put the finishing touches on current efforts.en_US
The modules are delivered asynchronously through Pressbooks, with activities and quick tips to encourage engagement. Each module is one to two hours in length, which enables learners to move through the modules sequentially or non-sequentially, on their own schedule. While aimed at post-secondary students in their first undergraduate degree who are looking for an experience, whether that’s a part-time job, volunteer opportunity, or full-time job, these modules are applicable to a broader range of individuals. The modules give all learners an understanding of the skills needed for career success in the 21st century.en_US
