Abstract: This learning resource has been developed to enhance the quality of public health nursing education in Ontario. To address the gap in public health virtual offerings, 3 serious games presenting an unfolding case study focus on community assessment, health promotion and program planning were created. In addition, a companion guide to help nurse educators with pre-simulation preparation, de-brief and reflection for each game was developed. Each serious game and companion guide is offered in both English and French languages. Public health competencies which all nurses should possess upon completing a baccalaureate degree have been integral to the development of content in these games. These resources assist in preparing future and current nurses to improve the health of people and understand population health and inequities.
