The values are outline in 'Compass for our Care, UHN's Patient Declaration of Values. This e-learning module will: • Define each of 5 core values most important to patients and families: Respect and Dignity; Empathy and Compassion; Accountability; Transparency; and Equity and Partnership. • Describe why the application of these values is important in the health care setting. • Outline the benefits to: patients and families; self; and the organization. • Demonstrate an awareness of the ways that these values can be applied in interactions with patients and families.
