Abstract: These interactive learning activities were designed as formative assessments for a lifespan development psychology course intended for degree-level nursing students in Ontario (to be launched in the 2022-2023 academic year). However, each of these activities could be used in other lifespan development courses--as well as other introductory psychology courses--to reinforce student learning of core course concepts. The activities were designed to be interactive and varied in their style. Some involve gamification, while others involve drag and drop activities as well as matching exercises. These activities are particularly well suited as “self-checks” within a module of study, or for quiz or testing review. Topics in this group of activities include: historical developments in psychology, stages of psychological development across the lifespan, Piaget's stages of cognitive development, approaches to intelligence and intelligence assessment, language development, and the development of self, identity and personality.
