dc.description.abstract | This five module series builds on emerging research that examines how people are navigating changing information distribution practices and channels and examines how engineering students must work with information to be successful in their studies and as professionals. The modules promote the use of information in engineering to promote critical thinking, problem solving, and ethical professional practice. The modules include: 1. Information Overload 2. Misinformation, Trust, & Bias 3. Information Evaluation & Filtering 4. Diversity of Information 5. Information Use, Ethics, & Professionalism The modules are openly licensed under a Creative Commons (CC 4.0 CC-BY-NC-SA) license and have been designed in H5P to be fully adaptable as needed. Those adopting are especially encouraged to review the presented case study in the Information Use, Ethics, & Professionalism module and substitute a field specific example as desired. Licensing and attribution information is provided at the end of each module, including contact information for queries or to request a non-licensed use. | en_US |
