Abstract: The Educators in Focus series features more than 50 instructional videos made by Ontario educators for Ontario educators as a way to inform their professional development, discover new strategies and implement innovative pedagogical practices. In this video, Ontario educator Andrew Cook discusses how formative feedback is an effective strategy for developing students’ mathematical thinking skills. He cites the learning continuums of both Cathy Fosnot and Dr. Alex Lawson as effective tools in the planning and preparation of effective math lessons.
