Abstract: The Educators in Focus series features more than 50 instructional videos made by Ontario educators for Ontario educators as a way to inform their professional development, discover new strategies and implement innovative pedagogical practices. In this video, Ontario educator Tom Nadasdi explores frequently asked questions about the department head application process. He defines the secondary school role and shares several ways in which department heads support staff and develop school culture. Promoting school initiatives are addressed as well as additional responsibilities such as timetabling.
