Abstract: | This course aims to provide an intermediate level understanding of TouchDesigner as a creative tool within Media Arts and Interaction Design, through the development of various interactive projects instructed by creative technologist Ali Phi. Phi covers workflows that includes: surface operators, instancing, point clouds, network communication protocols, projection mapping and python scripting. These modules place a strong emphasis on learning creative techniques to interaction design while producing artistic outcomes. Students with an interest in producing interactive experiences with TouchDesigner will get a close understanding of visual programming, prototyping techniques and troubleshooting approaches through the perspective of a media artist. |
