Are you ready to begin developing with Unity? Augmented Reality (AR) is an emerging field with opportunities in many industries ranging from programming, engineering, and media design to health care, skilled trades, and education. In this course, you will learn the essentials of AR, and how to use the Unity game engine to learn about surface detection, tracking, and how to create a mobile-based AR application. Explore the basics of the Unity interface, scripting and C# programming, and the AR Foundation Unity package.
This course will provide an overview of Augmented Reality (AR), including core features of Unity for AR development. Learners will utilize software development kits to build AR projects, improve user experience in AR, complete optimization and performance monitoring for mobile devices, and build and test on mobile devices. With a focus on using the Unity game engine, learners will gain a basic understanding of the process of developing for AR projects on mobile devices that can run on Android or iOS.
By the end of this course, learners will be able to use augmented reality tools to build a mobile-based Augmented Reality experience. To achieve the critical performance outcome, students will have demonstrated the ability to:
1. Identify core features of Unity for AR mobile development.
2. Access features through software development kits to build AR projects.
3. Implement AR user experience and user interface best practices.
4. Optimize & monitor performance on mobile devices.
5. Build and test AR projects on Android or iOS mobile devices. |
