dc.description.abstract |
Leading-edge Ontario organizations recognize that a more innovation-capable workforce is a key factor in addressing our economic and social challenges. Higher Education institutions can support a more innovative workforce by ensuring that all students can develop innovation skills.
In our earlier modules on Understanding Workplace Innovation we focused on developing student capability to engage with employee-led innovation in the workplace. The current set of modules on Advancing Employee-led Innovation in the Workplace build on that foundation to prepare graduates to support other employees in engaging with innovation in their workplace (an emerging role also referred to as Innovation Catalysts). The aim is to prepare graduates who can assist Businesses, Public Sector agencies and not-for-profit organizations in developing and leveraging more innovative workforces.
As with our previous OER content, the learning outcomes include Innovation Skills, Knowledge, Experiences and Mindsets. Each topic area includes workplace Cases to illustrate the principles and practical exercises to test student capability. |
