Discovering German

Abstract

Discovering German is an educational resource for beginners learning German at the college level. It has an interactive, task-focused and communicative approach that encourages students to develop and practice their language skills in a hands-on way and provides a wide range of opportunities to actively listen and communicate in German in a variety of contexts. These contexts provide insight into the diversity of German as language and of speakers of German; they aim at an inclusive approach to the depiction of people, contexts, concepts, and cultures.
