dc.description.abstract The purpose of this simulation is to develop the learner's ability to prevent, manage and de-escalate conflict and crisis. In order to complete the simulation, learners will demonstrate effective communication skills and trauma-informed practices. Learners will be immersed in a virtual simulation where they will be required to manage and de-escalate a hostile person, prioritize decision making and explore the consequences of ineffective approaches to responding in crisis situations. en_US
